Sidetracks; Lots of love, x'mas balloons and pretty pretty photos for you! Jay Chou and Lin Chi Ling!

Hiya all! It's been quite awhile since I last posted, hehehe. I went to do some volunteer work recently for the Metro-SIF project for my school, and BOY WAS IT FUN! We are raising funds for children in Indonesia so that we can build them a multi-purpose hall. We've got a photo booth, and another booth inside Metro itself. I was posted to the metro at Paragon and boy it was a rather enriching experience. At least, I know how to make balloons in different shapes now which is really fun! We gave balloons, took photos for people with our very own santa statue and I guess it's to be expected that the people shopping at paragon are reaaaaaally generous with their money since we found a $100 note somehow inside the donation box itself! It was fun making all the different shapes with the balloons and I enjoyed myself very much. I made a flower balloon but it wasn't much appreciated LOL, well at least I thought it wasn't, until my friend Heng Li took the shift the next day and found my flower amongst my pirate sword balloons inside the cupboard at the photo booth and said it was nice, MUAHAHAHA! FUN!

On a different note, went out with Jian Lei and Jia Hui just yesterday, and my phone happily ran out of battery before I could take photos of Jay Chou and Lin Chi Ling! They came over to promote their latest movie, and boy was Plaza Singapura crowded. Luckily, Jian Lei had his phone to help take photos, although we kinda waited there for like 2 hours, I still have no idea what made us stay rooted there for so long LOL, but we talked alot so the time passed by relatively fast. They were late though those celebrities, and the guy next to me was telling me, "Why is it that when celebs are late, we forgive them?" Good question buddy.

Well, here are the pictures from JL's phone, and note to self... GET A CAMERA!

Check out the crowd! The screams from the fan-girls were excruciating though it did add to the atmosphere! :S

There they are! The boy next to me was like, "NOOOO LIN CHILING WHY DID YOU CUT YOUR HAIR!!!!?!?" LOL

Sadly, all we could see was the top of their heads, since we were rather high up. The both of them did bother to look up and wave, muahahaha, so we got a good clear view of their faces for one moment heh.

Then Jay began doing some magic show with cards, it was interesting. The first trick he did was to turn a deck which was totally shuffled messily into a deck of cards with the exact same shape printed on them.

Then he invited a fan down, this girl who immediately snatched the chance without warning to hug him much to the screams of other fan-girls LOL! Then he manages to pick the card she chose right at the very end and even Lin Chi Ling was impressed because the amazing part was how Lin Chi Ling was the one choosing all the cards until the very end and all he did was flip it over and the card was the one the fangirl had chosen initially, COOL HUH!

Well that's all for now! It was fun! Looking forward to another outing guys! :D (BUT FIRST, TIME FOR ME TO READ MY LATEST BOOK, MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!)

Sidetracks; 20km

Cycling. Cycling. Cycling. That's all we did for 20km for the entirety of this outing!!! Today, I went cycling with my friends at East Coast Park, and with an effort, fueled by curiousity, we decided to go beyond where we stopped previously during our last cycle with the dudes. Previously we had stopped at a border sign which prevented us from going further, but it seems luck is on our side today as we managed to go beyond that and even get to Changi Beach all the way from East Coast! I know that's not much to some of you, but to us it was no easy feat! Boy, my legs are really tired and i am so drained that I am not going to type out so much about what happened, but let the pictures do the talking themselves (despite the lack of it, heh).

Pictures:

Heh heh, we stumbled upon this on our way to Changi Beach, this was after the border, so for those of you interested in exploring Changi Beach from ECP, this is a treat for you!!! The scenery was so nice, that it didn't even seemed like it was part of Singapore, perhaps some European country or something, provided those green railings didn't give the picture away, heh, but it was a fun place to chill for a bit and the echoes there are AMAZING, gotta try it!

Me and Jian Lei in New Zealand, HA-HA-HA! *Sarcastic Laughter*

AND THERE IT IS! Changi Airport, ladies and gentlemen! LOL, what's Changi without the good ol' planes flying around noisily eh? This was an absolute treat for plane fanatics (aka Jian Lei), and I got into the mood myself of enjoying these steel bodies of flight taking off and landing on the runway with a loud whirr. It was a fantastic experience! (I tried to race the plane which was taking off, ridiculous attempt hahaha!)

AND THEN IT TOOK TO THE AIR! I love this picture as well as the next one because I always liked how things looked like up in the sky, and a nice picture of an aeroplane like this, I don't know, you could say that I am just over-exaggerating the atmosphere, but seriously this was not a regrettable outing muahahaha!!

And this is the second picture which I took when I was ahead of the rest of them, and this plane happened to fly overhead, so I snapped it before it left hehehe! (Lamppost for verification, LOL)

Finally, we reached Changi Beach! This was another scenery I felt, didn't really quite feel like Singapore once again. But maybe it's because since it was a new kind of place which I have never visited before, everything was looking foreign enough to make it seem "un-Singapore-ish" you can quote me on that term :S

And here we are, on the rather desolated beach of Changi... Those guys seem to be having fun, I wonder what they are doing holding onto kites and surfing at the same time, but speaking of kites, the wind there is FANTASTIC. Practically blows into your face and body and cools you up immediately! It was really nice to simply relax there, and I can honestly say that I wouldn't mind sitting there and just hanging out if we weren't pressed for time to return the bikes we borrowed in four hours. Oh well, another time then Changi, it's a date! >=S

(P.S. LOL, I know I know, I messed up. The trip was so exciting to talk about, I ended up typing most of it out in the end ugh... *sprawls on bed* ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ)

Sidetracks; Drawings! Training: LIMBS AGAIN

Oh boy, was drawing again today muahahaha! Note: FEET ARE NOT EASY. I used to think that the toes were drawn like sausages, that didn't get me very far LOL. Thanks to tutorials it's starting to look slightly more like human feet rather than some ogre's. Oh well, decided to draw girl in winter clothings this time since XMAS IS ALMOST HERE! Prezzies much wanted HAHAHA! =S

Pics:

Hmmm, "posterised" anyone?

HANDS AND FEET, and an EYE! Apparently there are two ways to looking at a closed eye when it comes to drawing, hmmm!

That's all for now!

Sidetracks; Drawings! Training: Hands+ Faces+ WEREWOLF!?

Whoa, it sure isn't easy to draw when you don't have a template, I understand that now! I used to have difficulty with the hands, but it seems with a template it becomes a whole lot easier (duh!)! I tried to draw eyes as realistically as possible, since I have been focussing so much on anime eyes, I seem to have neglected realistic drawings, and boy, I have a long way to goooo!! Just trying out these different body parts with these drawings, and hehehe, I HAD to add a wolf for that manga-ish character at the bottom!

Pics:

Heh, I tried to draw manga characters with more realistic eyes this time! Neglected proportions though!

Hehehe, the girl on the left I left incomplete, but the girl on the right, I was trying to do it as realistic as possible! Ended up trying to make her too cute in the end, OH WELL!

Hehehe, I just realised that drawing the nose is FRICKIN' HARD when you're trying to do it realistically! Anime noses are easy with the simple line or so, but with the actual nose you really got to consider shades and stuff! (P.S. I think anime noses are scary in reality.)

Muahahaha, I think i was more successful with her! The shading had to be just right though, it's really hard!!!!!! =(

And not forgetting! REULE THE WEREWOLF LOLZ! I couldn't help it, just HAD to draw a manga character amidst all the drawings LOL!

That's all for now! Must keep practising! :S

Sidetracks; LOL, old stuff never really gets old!

Was browsing through Facebook, and dayum, I should have done so sooner, to collect all this old pictures which I totally forgot existed! All thanks to Facebook, these guys finally decided to upload our pictures for me to TAKE! Man, these are old LOL! So many fond memories though!

LOL, thanks to Max's long body, he took a double bike easy man! Wonder where's the video now though...

We should go cycling again soon LOL!

HAHAHAHA, Great Wall of Bikers, wanna get across to fish? Pay $3.00 prrease.

WOOOOO, i tell you, that auntie fishing there stole all the spotlight from us. -.- Looks like she is fishing that damn boat man!!! LOOK!

And then it got dark, boy it was breezy!

LOL, I don't really remember the surroundings, but I sure hope that person in white has some legs!

LOL, omg!

Got to keep searching for these treasures man! LOL, frickin' hilarious!

Sidetracks; No Title Yet

Muahahahaaha! I was trying to draw out the characters for my manga TOGETHER! I have no title yet for this idea I have in my head, but I decided to draw them out anyway muahahaha!!
Still trying out different trainings, like the eyes, facial proportions and my worst fear: hands. Oh well, got to keep on trying to improve my skills I guess, =( I AM ONLY AT THE STARTING LINE!

Ta-daa!

Argh, it wasn't easy drawing a girl who's super fit :S

I spent a few minutes on his machinery! LOL

Don't look at the characters, LOOK AT THE HAND, ARGH, this is why the hands are so difficult to draw, a single mistake will twist it altogether! See the line between the index and the thumb, it shouldn't be that long in order to make it look normal! Oh well, more training!!! >=(

Well that's all for now... DONE AT LAST.

Sidetracks; Sakae & Ubin

The exams are all over! And the results have already started coming back to us, and it's quite bleak for a number of us, although HOPE WILL ALWAYS LIVE!!! In the meantime, updates on my blog at last! These two events kinda took place a while back, but I just HAD to post them anyway, muahahaha! First up was the Sakae Buffet, where we (the DDs) headed to Suntec City to eat some really oishii sushi. And we kinda (more like REALLY) ate alot of sushi and side dishes that by the end of it, we were all bloated, even Zhengyu and myself who used the "Eating-Slowly Method". Jiahui is a genius at Sakae, working there has really proved useful eh! My best memory of his genious was when he told the waitress there, "I want everything on this page (of the menu), except this and this." And the food that came later was fantastic! They even served a rare dish which Jiahui said they usually aren't allowed to, because it's really expensive or something to serve as a free sidedish in a buffet. But WOOOOOOO, it was a very fun and bloating experience, just check out the pictures to see how much we ATE!

Pictures:

Chawanmushi! Looks very harmless right? IT WAS THE ONE THAT DID ME IN!!!>:(

HMMM, this isn't quite enough yet eh?

WHAT FIVE GUYS CAN ACCOMPLISH!!! I didn't really count, but it must have been alot! We even added the dessert plates in LOL!

All bloated already haiz!! (P.S. Sorry to the very nice waitress who will be clearing these plates for us! We were really difficult customers not letting them clear the plates LOL)

---------------------------------------------------------------------

AND NOW, UBIN!

---------------------------------------------------------------------

It was somewhat immediately after the sakae buffet. Just a day or two after the buffet, Linsay suggested going to Pulau Ubin for cycling, and it was a great idea! Especially since we already gained like a hell lot of weight from all the eating at the buffet. (I really need to go jogging again, putting on weight le haiz, EXAMS + BUFFET = BAD STUFF). So immediately after the cycling at ubin, I felt somewhat normal again, it was great weather throughout too, heh! Zhengyu and I shared a two-man bike, and it was still quite fun to ride, although when we came to uphill slopes... (Help! I need somebody Help!) :S

Pictures:

On our way there, I saw this ship, and I thought it looked really cool!

Use less energy to pedal right? NOT TRUE, HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN THAT THERE ARE TWO PEOPLE!?

At the bike park, hehehe, I used one of the solo bikes from Linsay or Jian Lei to try out the obstacle course, very fun!

DONE.
